Morris Jacinthe Rezentes, 95, of Keaau, died on Oct. 24. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired roofer. Visittion will be held at 9 a.m. Dec. 4 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Honokaa, with service to follow at 10 a.m. He is survived by sister, Nellie Vierra of Colorado; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor Derasin

Eleanor Marie Derasin, 86, of Naahehu died Oct. 25 at home. Born in Hilo, she was the previous owner of B&E Propane, B&E 76 and 3D Maintenance of Naalehu. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by son, Michael (Faith) Derasin of Waiohinu; daughters, Elizabeth (David Poe) Derasin of Ocean View, Sharlene (Clarence Alcoran) Derasin and Shawnette (Joe) Esperanza of Naalehu; brother, Alvin “Snookie” (Susan) Medeiros of Waiakea Uka; sisters, Geraldine (John) Lyman of Ainaloa and Janet (Brad) Chaves of Hawaiian Paradise Park; brothers-in-law, Clarence (Anna Hampton) Derasin of California and Albert Derasin of Las Vegas; sisters-in-law, Sweedland Derasin of California and Janice Quigao of Oregon; mother-in-law, Anna Quigao of Pahoa; eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; cousins, nieces and nephews. Alfonso “Goop Goop” Rudolph Cordero III, 2, of Waikoloa died Nov. 8 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Waimea. Private services. Maria Araya, 71, of Waikoloa died Oct. 24 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Valparaiso, Chile, she was a janitor. No services. Brian Schutt

Brian Timothy Schutt, 79, of Ocean View died Oct. 25 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Los Angeles, he was a retired construction company owner. Private services at a later date. Marcelino Bacxa

Marcelino Bagaoisan Bacxa, 88, of Kailua-Kona died October 27, 2023 at the Pali Momi Medical Center. Born October 12, 1935 in the Philippines, he was a prep cook at the former Basil’s Restaurant and former Fisherman’s Landing. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at 8:30a.m. December 2, 2023 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; Funeral Service begins at 10a.m.; Burial at Kona Memorial Park at noon. Family requests casual attire and no flowers please. He is survived by his daughter, Inocencia Grace (Benymar) Sadumiano of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; Son, Walter (Thelma) Bacxa of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; and 2 granddaughters. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Robin Crusat

Robin Patrick Crusat, Sr., 69, of Captain Cook, Hawaii, died October 19, 2023 at home. Born June 27, 1954 in North Kona, Hawaii, he was a retired police officer with the Hawaii Police Department for 25 years and was a general contractor who built numerous homes on Hawaii island. He was a member of SHOPO, an avid hunter and volunteered for numerous causes. He is survived by his wife, Carla Crusat; Son, Robin (Sacha) Crusat; daughter, Christy Kaine; Stepdaughter, Melissa (JR.) Fredericks; Hanai daughter, Jasmine-Victoria (Chris Aukai) Crusat; Mother, Julia Lominario Crusat; Brothers, Jeffrey Crusat, Jerry (Debbi) Crusat, Rodney (Kandice) Crusat, Rudy (Andrea) Crusat and Jaime (Angie) Crusat; sisters, JoAnn (Gary)Smith and Jessie Mae (Bill Miller) Crusat; hanai brothers, Chad (Erin) Basque and Stephen Kitagawa; Several grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
